Gordon Lightfoot (1938-2023) was a Canadian singer-songwriter, especially popular in the 1970's, who lived in Toronto and is known for hits such as "If You Could Read My Mind", "Early Morning Rain, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" and "Sundown". Lightfoot's hits were covered by many other prominent singers including Elvis Presley, Peter, Paul and Mary and Bob Dylan.
