I'm currently a graduate student and PHD candidate at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. My research interests broadly defined include 19th and 20th century U.S. economic, cultural, and global history. I also have interest in U.S. relations with Latin America and East Asia, globalization and cultural internationalism. I have a particular interest in the cultural and global history of sport, its relationship to nation building, and how sport relates to the power dynamics of globalization. I received my B.A. in history from Rutgers University in 2003 and my M.A. in history from the University of Iowa in 2007. I've also been a teaching assistant for the last four years in the Department of History at the University of Iowa.
