America United (fireboat)

America United is a fireboat commissioned in Boston in 2011, by the Massachusetts Port Authority.[1] Her name was chosen to honor the passengers on board one of the airliners destroyed when al Qaeda attacked ordinary United States citizens on September 11, 2001.
She was 80 feet long, and can project more than 6000 gallons per minute.[2]
