Social gerontology [r]:

A multi-disciplinary social science studying the social behavior of older people, and the social institutions that impact human aging. Basic social sciences including Sociology, Anthropology, Political science, Economics, and applied social sciences and professions, including Social work, Public administration, Public health and Architecture and numerous other sciences, disciplines and professions, including those in medical fields and specialties may all be involved in aging studies.
