Cinderella is Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical version of the fairy tale Cinderella. The original made-for-television version was commissioned by the CBS Network in 1957.
It has been remade for television twice, and is sometimes staged. Disney's 1997 version featured a multi-ethnic cast and attempted to update the story, including toning done the story's perceived sexism.
