Workgroups are no longer used for group communications, but they still are used to group articles into fields of interest. Each article is assigned to 1-3 Workgroups via the article's Metadata.

Launch workgroup tagging of articles

Launch area management: deferred We should probably defer selection of discipline workgroup management until after more people in each area have arrived, and we have had a chance to finalize how this management will be selected.

We can move forward with subgroups that seem more natural, and I imagine some subgroups will include several related disciplines.
