Clint Eastwood

Clinton ("Clint") Eastwood Jr (born 31 May 1930 in San Francisco) is an American film actor, director and producer who achieved fame in the 1960s and 1970s through his roles in action movies of various genres. He was the "Man With No Name" in the Spaghetti Westerns of Sergio Leone and later the eponymous lead in the Dirty Harry series of crime dramas. He also appeared in popular war dramas like Where Eagles Dare and Kelly's Heroes. He became a highly respected director of some forty-plus films beginning with Play Misty For Me in 1971. He has twice won the Academy Award for Best Director – in 1993 for Unforgiven and in 2005 for Million Dollar Baby – both films also won the Academy Award for Best Picture. Eastwood has had nominations for three other films.
