Dan Froomkin

Dan Froomkin is an American journalist, who is Washington bureau chief for the Huffington Post, coming from the the White House Watch column for the Washington Post’s website. He is also Deputy Editor of NiemanWatchdog.org, a website from the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University.

He began his career at the Winston-Salem (N.C.) Journal, the Miami Herald and the Orange County (Calif.) Register before being awarded a Michigan Journalism Fellowship in 1995. He then served as Editor of New Media for Education Week. Beginning in 1997, he was invoved in the Washington Post web operations, eventually as editor.

He has also taught journalism at American University and The Poynter Institute.
