Halo: Combat Evolved is the first in a series of video games made by Bungie Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios in 2001 as a launch title for the Microsoft Xbox.
The game launched to much critical acclaim holding a average Metacritic score of 97%. As of 2005 the game has sold over 5 million copies worldwide. [1]
