The Bronx is one of the five boroughs of New York City. It's the northenmost one; it's located in the north of Manhattan and limited by the Hudson River in the west and by East River in the west. Besides, except for a small piece of Manhattan known as Marble Hill, the Bronx is the only section of the city that is part of the United States mainland. At the census of 2000, it had a population of 1,332,650.
