Matthew Cornell Woods, Jr. has been reflexively using his full name in introductions for as long as he can remember. Thankfully, he just goes by "Matthew", though not "Matt". He is currently in the process of receiving his Associate of Arts from City College of San Francisco, and will be transferring to San Francisco State University for the Fall 07 semester...assuming he can easter egg hunt through the bureaucratic muck that he is quite stupid with. His eventual goal is to get a Masters in Library Science and become a reference librarian, thereby avoiding having to specialize in any one field. (Except for being able to look up whatever interesting facts he wants.)

Matthew's interests are, embarrassingly, not very different from those of other well-off white males. He likes role-playing games, strategy games, transhumanism, left-libertarianism, anything sex-related, anything free, the social and physical sciences, trivia, novelty, intelligent people, and cartoons meant for children. Matthew does not like political extremism (especially among his own kind), flamewars, social drama, cliches, technophobia, personal mistakes, typical guy behavior, prudery, bullying of any kind, and the ad Hominem family of arguments.

Although Matthew has been a Wikipedian, he has never been bold on account of being smart enough to doubt his own genius. To wit, he doesn't want to put a lot of work into input that's erroneous, and remains erroneous on account of having a lot of work put into it. Seemingly unable to become fanatical about anything, even transhumanism, Matthew has never "drank the Kool-Aid" of Wikipedia culture. He doesn't care what brand an online encyclopedia is, as long as it's free, accurate, and easy to understand.

Matthew currently lives with his computer, and keeps his mother, an occupational therapist, in the basement. (You should see it sometime, she's like a Martha Stewart of the bomb shelter.) Owing his mother everything, he hopes to purchase her immortality.
