Ho Chi Minh/Organizations
There was often a tendency, especially before 1975, for Vietnamese Communists to avoid actually giving their organization a name containing the word "Communist" or Vietnamese equivalent. Even when there were coalitions, however, there were distinctly Communist groups, sometimes clandestine.

Indochinese Communist Party
Actually several organizations of the 1930s and 1940s, briefly called the #Vietnamese Communist Party#Vietnamese Communist Party. During the Second World War, the organization was officially absorbed into broad-front anti-Japanese organizations, and then into nationalist organizations. A distinct Communist organization, however, always existed during these periods.
