Michael Martin (politician) [r]: (1945–2018) Speaker of the UK House of Commons, 2000-2009, and Member of Parliament for Glasgow North East in Scotland, 1979-2009; became the first Speaker since 1695 to be forced out of office, over his handling of a parliamentary expenses scandal.
