A label used to identify a particular person, thing, type of thing, deity, category of things or people, phenomenon, concept, or anything which is a subject of speech, writing, or thought. In a declarative sentence, in the English, a name often begins a sentence. In Greek mythology, gods and goddesses had names, as well as nymphs and forces of nature such as storms and winds.
