I'm not sure we should have an article on every letter of the alphabet when dictionaries cover just about everything you need to know. --Robert W King 17:27, 20 November 2007 (CST)

There needs to be more, about the history, and its use in other languages. And dictionaries don't describe the use of a letter, they list its occurrences in initial position, and give definitions - Ro Thorpe 18:54, 20 November 2007 (CST)
What I am suggesting I guess is would an article on the alphabet be better? --Robert W King 19:31, 20 November 2007 (CST)
Yes, that's needed as well - Ro Thorpe 05:31, 21 November 2007 (CST)

Probably not appropriate for this article, but I thought I'd mention I'm told by someone who speaks Burmese that the name is pronounced Myinmah. As a general rule a before 2 consonants is pronounced as i. Peter Jackson (talk) 09:08, 27 May 2016 (UTC)

I haven't quite given up hope for Burma. I notice you spelt that with -ah. I wonder why they added the final R; just to lengthen the A, I suppose. Ro Thorpe (talk) 21:56, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
