Talk:Charles de Gaulle

Alphabetization
A question for people who are familiar with the conventions of French historiography: Should the abc= field of the checklist alphabetize this article under "de" or "Gaulle"? I changed "de Champlain" to "Champlain" but I hesitate to do the same here, because nobody calls this man "Gaulle," but always "de Gaulle." The Library of Congress and the Britannica alphabetize him under "G", but many books that refer to him index him under "D". So I'll leave it under "D" and let someone more knowledgeable about the relevant conventions change it if that's advisable. Bruce M.Tindall 10:45, 6 May 2008 (CDT)
