Will need disambiguation
There is a section of Brooklyn, New York, that has been called for the past ten years or so "DUMBO" (an acronym for "Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass," or some such). Although I hate the designation -- the area should be called "Fulton Ferry Landing," as it historically has been -- it's a real-estate agents' shorthand -- the term appears in newspapers and popular discourse, so it'll have to be encyclopediaized. - For that matter, Dumbo was a common WWII and later call sign for U.S. combat search and rescue aircraft. Howard C. Berkowitz 04:37, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
- No problem: The one and only Dumbo is iconic. He can survive real estate kitch. Ditto passe call signs. knock yerselves out! :) Aleta Curry 07:32, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
