Overcitation
There seems to me to be a lot of unnecessary source citation in this article -- for example, it's not clear why a sentence like this one -
After confirmation, the most senior and Acting Chief Justice, John Paul Stevens administered the oath of office at the White House, and Roberts began his term and what is known as the Roberts Court.
- requires any footnoted reference at all, let alone two of them. Shamira Gelbman 16:05, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- It's a work in progress. I just put in as many references as I happened to have available in my archive. I find that it's easier to take out the superfluous citations afterwards rather than ignoring proper references and then having to hunt for it when you find it's not sourced properly. I'm sure that when this article is more developed, it can be cleaned up quite a bit. Michel van der Hoek 04:18, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
