Clarification needed

- I'm not sure I recognize these. Could someone elaborate?

- Note that title was replaced by Beat to Quarters in the U.S. edition. I'd hesitate to call it a "very dark note." He has restored his naval honor after defeating the Natividad and repairing the Lydia. Yes, he is not in a happpy situation with Lady Barbara, but he is looking forward to a return to the realities of his first marriage. What is so dark? Howard C. Berkowitz 20:56, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
