Mark Twain is often quoted as "It is very easy to quit smoking. I have quit so many times"! This may be reflecting a weakness of will or akrasia [1]. It literally means bad mixture.
Blogs exemplifying akrasia are available [2].
A book Akrasia, Thief of Time [3] has been written by David Chart.
