Talk:White House Chief of Staff
Formerly called the Appointments Secretary...
Some of Howard's work was good, was not dated. But, I think, he could be over-confident, and would put into articles stuff he merely remembered, without confirming whether it was verifiable.
In particular, Howard's 2010 Definition starts with, "Formerly called the Appointments Secretary..." The stub started in January repeats this.
The Table of Organization of White House staff working under the Chief of Staff, in this recent document, lists "Appointments Secretary" as one of the deputies of one of the Chief of Staff's deputies. So a google search for both "Chief of Staff" and "Appointment Secretary" will get lots of hits. But none of the hits I looked at confirmed Howard's claim.
So I took it out. George Swan (talk) 11:12, 17 February 2024 (CST)
