Although some may argue the point, it's been said that Brian Thomas was conceived (if not born) at the drive-in, most likely during a double feature of Attack of the Giant Leeches and A Bucket of Blood. After an academic career studying art, writing, and film, he spent over fifteen years as a comic-book artist and writer, animator, and media designer for print, web, CBT and video games. The "Creature Preacher" was a founding member of the Psychotronic Film Society, in which he still participates. As a writer and critic, he has been an editor, correspondent and columnist for many print and online film journals, including Mania (formerly Cinescape), Now Playing, Video Watchdog, Smug and Internet Daily News, and he was chosen to join the first Publisher's Circle of Viewpoints Network. He is the author of the massive book VideoHound's Dragon: Asian Action & Cult Flicks, and has been a major contributor to several other titles in the VideoHound line published by Visible Ink Press.
