Bruce Gourley lives in the Bozeman, Montana area and serves as Associate Director of The Center for Baptist Studies of Mercer University. A 1988 graduate of Mercer University with majors in Christianity and English, Gourley also has a Master of Divinity degree and is an American History Ph. D. candidate (ABD) at Auburn University (Alabama). He previously taught Church History at Yellowstone Baptist College in Billings, Montana, and served as a campus minister at Montana State University in Billings. In addition to his position at the Center, Gourley is the Editor of the Baptist Studies Bulletin Online Editor of Baptists Today, webmaster for the Baptist History and Heritage Society and William Whitsitt Baptist Heritage Society, and owner of BaptistLife.Com. Bruce's dissertation subject is "Baptists in Middle Georgia During the Civil War."
In addition to his training and interest in Baptists and Church History in general, Bruce is the founder and owner of Yellowstone Net Yellowstone Net, now ten years old and the leading commercial Yellowstone National Park site on the Internet. Bruce also owns MontanaHistory.Net, a newer site chronicling the history of Big Sky Country. He owns numerous additional websites and is also an Internet Strategist/Marketer, in addition to being a published author and photographer.
