Brush on vacuum cleaner.

A vacuum cleaner is a tool used for dusting by way of suction. It has an electric motor which pulls air through a filter. When dusting curtains and furniture, the air is pulled through a hose with a soft brush or some other tool at the end. When removing dust from the floor, a wider nozzle is used, this sometimes includes brushes rotated by its electric motor. Dusting by vacuum is called vacuuming. Vacuum cleaners remove thick dust faster than a dry, soft cloth, but are noisy. The vacuum cleaner keeps the dust it collects inside it, until a person empties the dust into a trash bag. The vacuum cleaner was invented by people who know how tools are made. Before electricity, portable vacuum cleaners may have been wound up, and centralized vacuum cleaners may have been powered by steam engine. Without a vacuum, a soft cloth and a clean paint brush can be used to dust curtains and furniture. Floors and walls can be dusted with a clean, dry mop. All the dust is swept together and then into a dust pan and thrown into the trash.
