Born in London, England in 1960. Went to Kingston Grammar School, left during A levels and traveled to Israel where I stayed on a kibbutz. Back in England I was a despatch rider in London for a few years before becoming involved in computers, learning to program in assembler on a Commodore 64 and provided hardware and software for ComputerAd. Worked for Ariadne for a while where I learnt C and how to program properly. Formed my own company (Gossamer Graphics) with John Marshall, which was soon renamed to Metafore Software Design. We wrote software for Macintosh computers and developed a range of printer drivers which were used by colour printer companies worldwide. More recently I have studied Philosophy and Psychology at Oxford University, worked with the local Youth Offender Team and been a Children's Advocate. Metafore now develop software for iPad and iPhone, and have various internet interests. I live on a farm in Devon with my partner and daughter.
