German photographer (Berlin 1895 -1945). He enlisted early in Dada movement posting some photos in the magazine Der Dada. In 1920 he participated in the "Erste Internationale Dada-Messe", the first international exhibition of Dada. He was a friend of George Grosz and Ernst Toller. He invented the technique called "becklicken", a complicated process of overexposure made in the darkroom forerunner of today's HDR. He has dealt with the critic Viktor Grobheiten in the essay "Baldemar Becker und unbekannt dada" (Munchen 1999).
