I was born in Genoa, Italy, in 1979 and lived there until 2001. Then I moved to Trieste where, in 2004, I graduated in Astrophysics cum laude. Now I am doing the third year of my PhD in Astrophysics, at the Department of Astronomy of Trieste University, with a thesis about the evolution of chemical elements in galaxies. My interests other than my field of research are movies, medecine (especially oncology, genetics and rare diseases), traveling and studying foreign languages. I also occasionally write novels and poems.
