I've been a software developer professionally for 14 years (I've been learning about programming and programming personal projects since I was 7 back in 1975, I'm 40 years old right now). I'm applying as author right now to try the place out as some days or weeks I may be busier than others and therefore cannot guarantee a minimum available time for contributing to your effort. Of course, that also depends on what contribution expectations are of course.

Most of my career I've worked in Clipper, DBase, Foxpro, Microsoft Access, C, C++, Visual BASIC (DOS and Windows) along with other programming languages. I've also worked in several different industries which gave me business knowledge and expertise in the industries I've had the privilege to work in. Some of these industries are legal, oil & minerals, document management firms, manufacturing and retail (Point of Sale software) sectors. I have several personal projects giving me knowledge in other interconnected fields such as Operating System development, GUI Development, Database Engine development and others. As they develop, so does my knowledge and their level of functionality. Finally I'm well versed website design and development using HTML, JavaScript, VB-Script, Perl/CGI, PHP and others (PHP and Perl I could know more, but I can usually get by).

What I can bring to your effort is informative and educational contents for those eager to learn about many different software development/engineering fields. From the very general categories such as programming methodologies right down to how to articles in very specific programming languages.
