Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!

Editing articles

Hey Jason, I saw your post on the Write-a-Thon talk page. Just so you know, you don't have to be an Editor to add substance to an existing article.. in fact, that's encouraged. To my understanding, Editor's are more here to verify and approve content. --Todd Coles 19:54, 1 August 2007 (CDT)

Oh, thanks. I didn't know that; I figured there was a difference between adding to an article, and doing edits on someone else's work. --Jason S. Colflesh 19:55, 1 August 2007 (CDT)
No problem, just wanted to make sure you knew you wouldn't be stepping on anyones toes. The idea of the editors having final say is to put the expert seal of approval on articles to increase credibility. --Todd Coles 20:28, 1 August 2007 (CDT)
