Welcome!
Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! D. Matt Innis 12:52, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Good to see you're up and going!
We sure could use some help with media!!!!!! Haha D. Matt Innis 15:48, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Well, Citizendium is also in the movie: The Truth in Numbers. In fact, I got the idea to join Citizendium after I saw the premiere. Pity Citizendium is not yet available in other languages. Revo Arka Giri Soekatno 16:28, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Really, we're in the movies?? D. Matt Innis 17:01, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Actually just Larry Sanger, however they also speak about the number of the articles on Citizendium. Revo Arka Giri Soekatno 17:17, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Revo, had planned to go to Gdańsk but finally couldn't make it. When will the film be available to the public? So far, I've only seen the trailer. Also, as an experienced Wikipedian and Wikimaniac, you might have an opinion on the Charter we are currently drafting (way behind schedule, but making progress nonetheless; latest version here).
- With respect to your core interests, I once took a closer look at Bahasa grammar because I found the plural formation peculiar. When I was in Japan, a friend of mine then gave me the book Koguma main bola to lure me into actually starting to learn the language, but it didn't happen (Japanese was difficult enough, and I've never been to Indonesia so far). Yet our kid loves it, and prefers the Bahasa version over the English one.
- I hope you enjoy your time here! --Daniel Mietchen 01:08, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
