The Woodstock Music Festival and Art Fair in 1969 was a historic event held at Max Yasgur's 600 acre dairy farm in the rural town of Bethel, Upstate New York from August 15 to August 18, 1969. Woodstock, as it became more commonly known, was the largest rock concert event to that time, drawing more than 500,000 people from all over the US.
