This is a provisional system for transcluding Featured Articles to the [[Main Page]], in accordance with '''EC D-2011-014''' (below). If you think you can write up something more elegant, please go ahead and do so. This will work for now: just copy the parts of the article which should be transcluded to [[CZ:Featured article/Current]]. Copy only the parts which should be transcluded, exactly as they should appear. Please remove all info-boxes, shrink large images, and leave the article about as long as the left-hand column of the [[Main Page]].
'''Featured Article''' is an award given periodically to a high-quality Citizendium article. These could be drawn from the [[CZ:Ready for reading|ready for reading]] list or elsewhere per editor's choice.

Until we establish a more formal procedure, it seems reasonable just to start with the articles on the [[CZ:Article_of_the_Week|old list]]. [[User:Johan A. Förberg|Johan A. Förberg]] 09:47, 4 May 2011 (CDT)
==Instructions==
To change the Featured Article:

== Editorial Council policy ==
1. Edit the article to insert ''<nowiki><onlyinclude></nowiki>'' and ''<nowiki></onlyinclude></nowiki>'' around the text that you want to appear on the [[Welcome to Citizendium|front page]] (probably the first paragraph or two, ideally with a picture - you can remove these when another article is featured);

2. Put the name of the article ''and nothing else'' in [[:Template:FeaturedArticleTitle|this template]];

3. Put the name of the previous Featured Article at the top of the list below.
