Welcome to the Citizendium Pilot Project! The Citizendium (sit-ih-ZEN-dee-um), a "citizens' compendium of everything," is an experimental new wiki project. The project, started by a founder of Wikipedia, aims to improve on the Wikipedia model by adding “gentle expert oversight” and requiring contributors to use their real names.

Editors do not give top-down orders; they offer the occasional word of direction or advice. Constables, who are barely needed in our very friendly community, ensure everything runs smoothly. These are all volunteers, contributing their time, energy, and profesional expertise in support of a shared vision.
